19th April 2012 – A reason, a season, a lifetime

I love the saying and I can place people I have met through my life in each of these categories, everyone being important.  Today I caught up with some of my lifetime friends. No matter where I am in life, no matter what is going on they are always there. We share everything and I will do anything to catch up with them as I love them so much! Today I did the trek to Sydney and back in a day to catch up with my beautiful friends and their bubs. It was a long day but I would not have missed the chance to see them and catch up like old times. They are the most beautiful people who  I love calling my friends.

Friendship like these is rare these days. To feel so comfortable that you can tell them your highs and lows and know that they will laugh and cry and everything in between with you. I  wish we lived closer to each other as we are all going through this new amazing adventure of motherhood and I would love to be sharing it more often with them. The three of us have not  lived in the same city for 10 years I think, and every time we catch up it is like we saw each other yesterday at uni sitting playing the capital city game:)

You are my life time friends and where life takes us I know you are just a phone call away and I would drive/ fly anywhere to spend time with you cause I miss you always and cherish our friendship.

18th April 2012 – Just the two of us

I know that I have spent pretty much a year hanging out with my bub. So whilst we do spend alot of time just hanging out together we rarely go out for lunch together. We often meet friends for lunch but I can’t think of the time that we sit at a cafe together and chat (well you know what I mean). Today we did and it was fun. I think people walking past thought iI was a crazy lady talking to my baby who was lalalala talking back to me.

I can’t believe we did not do more of this, I had a lovely lunch, if only it was her shout. Next time maybe.

16th April 2012 – trolley fun

Sometimes your day is all about ticking off the chores….. cleaning, washing, ironing (ok I rarely iron), vacuuming and food shopping. All of the above don’t really agree with me EVER…

Today was a chore day. I just ticked everything off. the fun part was doing the groceries, I know I thought I would never say that, to be honest it is my least favourite chore as the super market and I just don’t seem to gel that well.

I love hearing my bubbas laugh it cracks me up. So as we were cruising up and down the shopping aisle we were spinning around and around in the trolley she was giggling away. I obviously didn’t get a photo of this moment as it was just the two of us and sending my daughter down the aisle in a trolley so I could take a photo probably wouldn’t be a fantastic  look:)

15th April 2012 – Cuddles before bed

I love cuddles. They can make any day amazing. Tonight I got some of the best cuddles just before bed and I loved every moment of them. It was just the two of us chillin at home after bath time. She came from the other side of the room and just snuggled up beside me. I love her every day but tonight I loved her more :)

It really is the simple things that can bring the biggest smile to your face. I could have spent the next couple of hours cuddling.

14th April 2012 – KK breakfast

I often have a go at Canberra and well despite our love hate relationship we have been very lucky to have met some great friends. I have always said I don’t have millions of friends I know but the friends I do have I know I can count on for anything. I love that. Since we have been down here we have a great group of friends where at least once a month (sometimes we are really bad and it is a lot longer) we catch up all together and have dinner at someone’s house. When they first started they usually ended quite a few bottles of wine later and were always a good laugh. They still continue to be a good laugh but have somewhat quietened down a little, I think that is due to me drinking considerable less these days:) when the breastfeeding is over I will back on board with a vengeance that is for sure!!!!

Today we caught up for a long over due catch up for breakfast, yep I organized this one for my favourite meal. It was such a great morning chit chatting over some bacon and eggs and a good cup of coffee of a sunny Canberra morning at one of my fav cafes.

I look forward to many more catch ups especially as out little gang is constantly growing with two little people already part of the gang!!!

13th April 2012 – Love modern technology

I don’t watch a whole lot of tv, ok apart from my nightly date a 7pm there is not much else that I MUST watch. That was until we stumbled on How I Met Your Mother, well more importantly the complete seasons online and one after another. I love that we sit down when the new episode is available and have a mini little romantic date cuddled up together on the lounge. I love laughing out loud and each episode just gets better. Oh how technology allows us these little pleasures in life:)
